Caymus Vineyards, founded in 1971, is a wine company located in the Napa Valley. In 1972, Charlie Wagner, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner and their son, "Chuck" Wagner established Caymus Vineyards. The winery has always specialized in Cabernet Sauvignon and makes two wines with the grape. Since the winery’s inception, Caymus has been producing Cabs that rival the world’s best. The Caymus Special Selection is particularly esteemed. 1975 was the first vintage of this legendary wine. The winery is named after the Caymus Rancho. In 1836, this property was granted to George Yount by General Vallejo.
