Acacia Winery is located on Las Amigas Road in Southern Carneros near the San Pablo Bay. The winery grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on its 150 acre vineyard and also buys grapes from other growers.
Two miles from San Francisco's San Pablo Bay, Acacia Vineyard is in the heart of Napa Valley's Carneros appellation, with stellar views of vineyards and the bay. This premium winegrowing region enjoys the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean and summer fog, making it an ideal growing area for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Acacia was founded in 1979 and was a pioneer in the Carneros appellation. Acacia continues as a leader in Carneros as a member of the Carneros Wine Alliance.
Established in 1979, Acacia was one of the first wineries to make single vineyard Pinot Noir with purchased grapes. Their first Pinot was sourced from the highly regarded St Clair Vineyard. This business model has since been adopted by many other producers. It allows winemakers to get their financial footing before they invest a lot of money in vineyard development.
